Darrel for Model Number KEMC378KSS0 (Microwave/oven combo) My microwave is working, but stopped heating food. While running, it emits a strong smell like electrical odor. I research the issue and found there are a possible bad magnetron or diode. For this model, where are they located? Is there a way I can identify which one before ordering the part. Thanks.
Answer Darrel, We will send you a sheet of part location and testing. Be aware you will be dealing with the high voltage area on this unit so use extreme caution especially around the capacitor. It can store 2000 volts even when the unit is unplugged. Don't forget to test the thermostat on the magnetron also, it should read closed. Read More...
