Hello M.W., You need a long screwdriver or small drill bit to slide into the opening alongside the connector. This style connector has a tab that protrudes from the side of the connector on one side that, when depressed, will unlock and release the connector from the spade in the start device. This seems complicated but, when you slide something in there and it presses this tab, the connector will slide off with no opposition.
