Paul for Model Number 66513429k701 Upon more digging with my water heating issue, I've discovered that during the drying phase the heating element does come on, so that's good. During the wash, regardless of settings used, the water never gets heated. I've checked the thermal fuse (the thing that is on the circuit board) and it showed continuity (the needle moved to the right on my ohmmeter). I also checked the high-temp fuse on the bottom and it too showed continuity (though that was probably not an issue anyway). I tried running some diagnostics and saw error codes of 8-2, 5-2, 3-3, 4-1 during the cycle and then I think it was 6-1 or 7-1 at the end... which I think is telling me that there is something wrong with how the heating components talk to each other. Perhaps it's the control board just not sending a signal? Truly appreciate the help on this (am trying to not have to spend $150 to get my dishwasher repaired).
Answer Hello Paul. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control board WPW10285178 is the issue. Keep in mind, you will always have to get the water hot at the sink before running the dishwasher, and the dishwasher needs to be hooked to the hot water line. If not, the dishwasher will never get to the proper temperature. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, January 27, 2012
