Kevin for Model Number Kenmore Elite 106.44423600 Hello, Great video! I’m trying to replace the water dispenser line on our side-by-side. I have the old line removed, but when I try to slide the tube down the path, it gets stuck and will not budge, no matter how hard I push. I’ve tried threading it from the bottom in the door and from the top dispenser area, gets stuck both ways. Any ideas on how to get it through? Do I have to dismantle the door? Help!!
Answer Kevin, it sounds like the edge of the tubing is getting stuck on the insulation. Usually, it is easiest to attach a string to the original tubing before pulling it out so that the line can be used to guide the new tubing. However, as the original one has been pulled out, if a bit of electrical tape is used to make a rounded tip, it may allow for the tubing to pass through the insulation without a problem. Read More...
