Mike for Model Number kebs277dbl9 After using my upper oven it went into self-clean by itself, after extended period it did not shut down. I was concerned and cut the power after about 15 minutes. I restored power and oven continued to clean, cut power again until following day. When the power was turned on, the oven did not function no lights on the control panel. I checked the thermal overload and it showed no continuity. I temporary bypassed it but there was still no function on the panel but the upper oven began heating. Other than the thermal fuse, could it also need the micro-computer?
Answer Hello Mike, I would start at the temperature sensor WPW10131825. This part tells the micro-computer what temperature it is inside the bake compartment. At room temperature it should read about 1100O. Be sure to tap on it while testing since it can have an intermittent problem. If this doesn't test bad, the micro-computer 4453661 is the answer to the issue. Unfortunately the micro-computer shows unavailable with no satisfactory substitution. The only alternative in this case is to see if you can locate one of the businesses that re-build control boards. This sounds like a real gamble, but in the exposure I've had with these companies, they seem to do really good work. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, October 31, 2012
