William for Model Number RC8700EDB0 The burner element burnt out on our radiant cooktop. We found that the radiant module is no longer availble PS3488431. Is there a module, radiant or not that would work properly in our cooktop. We were told that a Jenn-Air module would work PS9491822. It plugged in okay, but the element controls were wacky. No temp control on the large burner and when the smaller element was turned on, the large element came on too.
Answer William, there are no approved substitutes listed for this unit as far as the modules go. While the part you installed may fit, the wiring can be different from the original and that can cause the issue you are experiencing.
