Randy Q. for Model Number KUIA15NRHSS When I turn the ice maker on the reservoir does fill up with water! The compressor runs through its cycle, the chill plate gets cold, the grid get warm, but NO water flows over the chill plate. I did not do any diagnostice as of yet. Are you still thinking water pump is bad or main board?
Answer Hello Randy. The water pump does not bring water to the reservoir, the water valve does that. If the water is not flowing across the freeze plate, the water pump is not pumping the water properly. You will need to test and see if there is power coming to the pump. If so, and the pump is not running, you will need to replace the pump. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
