I called AppliancePartsPros:
Me - "I just opened my washer and smoke came out. What's up with that?"
APP - "Let me guess, was the door seal damaged as well?"
Me - "You know, a little bit, yes."
APP - "I'm 90% certain your spider is broken."
She then led me to the website, told me which parts to buy. Spider was out of stock, so I bought it somewhere else. BAD MOVE - the first bolt I attempted to use on it sheared off!
Sent that spider back, went back to APP site, and it was in stock. I overnighted that bad boy and got back to work.
