Charles L Rogersville , TN January 16, 2026 Appliance: Model 417.98702892 Broken belt Had to take the top plate off. The front plate with door had to disengage from the drum. The belt was worked back to its normal position. The front plates, the front cover and the flat plate had to drop, so I could get hand into the motor pulley and tensioner spring. Belt over the pulley, tensioner engaged on belt. Reassemble. Worked first time. Took two trips to hardware store for screws.
