Description

This mechanical temperature control thermostat regulates your unit's cooling by cycling the compressor on and off to maintain the set temperature. Replace a failed cold control when temperatures drift, cycling is erratic, or the knob no longer responds.

• Monitors cabinet temperature via a sensing bulb and opens/closes electrical contacts to control cooling
• Helps restore consistent temperatures and normal run times
• Typical failure symptoms: too warm or too cold, runs constantly or won't start, no change when adjusting the control
• May cause intermittent cooling or short cycling as it wears

• Disconnect power before servicing
• Access the control housing; note/photograph wire locations and transfer them one at a time
• Route the sensing capillary exactly as original; do not kink or sharply bend the tube; secure the bulb in its original location
• Set the control to a mid setting and allow temperatures to stabilize before fine-tuning
