Frigidaire Sensor-Moisture
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 134786100

The Moisture Sensor is an OEM part for Frigidaire dryers. This essential component detects the moisture level in the dryer drum during a drying cycle. It plays a crucial role in determining the optimal drying time, preventing over-drying or under-drying of clothes.

A faulty moisture sensor can be caused by various factors. Over time, the sensor may become coated with lint or residue, affecting its accuracy. Additionally, electrical malfunctions or physical damage can lead to sensor failure.

Symptoms of a bad moisture sensor may include:

  • Clothes that are still damp or excessively dry after a drying cycle.
  • The dryer stops prematurely or runs for an extended period.
  • Error codes related to moisture detection.

This OEM Frigidaire part can also be used on Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore.

Frigidaire Thermostat
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 137116700

The Thermostat is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire dryers. It plays a crucial role in monitoring and regulating the temperature inside the tumbler. Symptoms of a bad thermostat include:

  • Clothes taking an overly long time to dry
  • The dryer is heating excessively and tripping the breaker
  • Temperature display or heater lights not functioning
  • Clothes drying unevenly, still damp in spots

Causes can be normal wear over extreme heating and cooling cycles. Environmental contaminants may also impact sensor performance.

This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Frigidaire dryer error e66 then door open   Nolan R. • Hoboken , NJ • February 06, 2017

My Electrolux Frigidaire Gas Dryer stopped working and I got an error code E66 that the thermal limiter blew from over heating. Frigidaire Moisture Sensor (Dryer)
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 134786110

This moisture sensor monitors dampness inside the dryer drum and signals the control when fabrics are dry, helping automatic cycles end on time and avoid overdrying. Replacing a failed sensor can restore consistent Auto Dry performance and cycle times. What it does:

  • Detects moisture level via conductivity across the sensor surfaces inside the drum
  • Sends feedback to the control so Auto Dry cycles advance and stop correctly
  • Helps prevent overdrying and underdrying in sensor-based cycles
  • Common symptoms of a faulty sensor may include: auto cycles ending too soon or running too long, clothes remaining damp, or the dryer staying on "Sensing" while timed cycles still work
What's included:
  • 1 moisture sensor
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and, if applicable, shut off gas before servicing
  • Access the sensor at the front bulkhead/lint housing area; remove front panel as needed per model
  • Transfer connectors and route wiring exactly as original; secure the sensor firmly
  • Clean the sensor contact surfaces with rubbing alcohol; residue from dryer sheets or fabric softeners can affect readings
