Frigidaire 242044008 Refrigerator Defrost Heater OEM Part

I chose to replace both parts so I wouldn't have to go back into the freezer. I used only a screw driver, pliers and the gas lighter to heat the wire connector sleeves. I watched the available do it yourself videos and was done in less than 30 minutes. It has worked perfectly since. No more Ice build up in the freezer. I had no trouble finding the exact parts I needed on your website.

After 10 years, the Start Device Part # AP4393517, attached to the compressor failed. I replaced it with the similar part, but not factory original and not sure if it is new from an appliance store nearby. By not being sure how long this part will last, I decided to order this part and the other parts from you, just to be on the safe side. I replaced the part myself. It was not easy to get down to the floor and a little cumbersome to remove the part because it is attached very hard to the compressor.

I noticed when unit was actually working there was frost on the rear wall of freezer. I went ahead and replaced the defrost timer, defrost thermostat and heater. Unit works really well now. All the parts are very easy to access and replace.

Replaced the defrost thermostat in freezer and fridge and the defrost heater in freezer. These guys had my parts in stock and I got them in 2 days
