Paul S Chicago , IL May 10, 2016 Appliance: Model DDP1375BMWH Broken clothes dryer drive belt I replaced the drive belt using the video instructions on your web site. My dryer is in a stacked configuration, inverted with respect to your instructions with the motor above the drum instead of below it. During reassembly the drum got stuck when the pivot did not seat properly in its socket so the front couldn't be reassembled until I lifted the drum to reseat its pivot so the drum could move back into position allowing the front to be reassembled. The hight of the drum in the stacked configuration makes it awkward to install the belt and difficult to recognize that the drum isn't properly seated and to adjust it. I suggest you either make a video for stacked washer/dryers or explain how to reseat the drum during drive belt replacement. Sidney H West Paris , ME April 01, 2016 Broken belt I took the dryer apart until I could slip the belt on over the drum, pulley wheel on motor and the tension arm wheel. I order the part. Had it delivered. Repaired the dryer in less than 24 hours. It was going to be at least a week before a repair person could get to it. Your video was of little help. Kevin K Manor , TX June 13, 2015 Broken belt drive Since my dryer is no longer listed anywhere, it took awhile to find the right belt to fit an the instructions I followed on YouTube were for a different type of dryer but I was able to figure it all out. The hardest part was figuring the angle for the idle pulley but after awhile, it became apparent how to loop that part in. Read More... Nicolas S Monrovia , CA November 24, 2016 My 20 year old ge dryer broke it's belt and the tension pulley shattered on the inside of the cabinet First, I watched a YouTube video on belt replacement. I opened the cabinet and found the broken pulley as well as the belt. I ordered replacement parts, and waited for then to arrive by FedEx ground, the slowest form of delivery known to man. I wish they had used Priority Mail or UPS, either of which are faster by days. The repair took less than a half hour to complete, and the dryer is back in business. Read More...
