Mark H Water Valley , MS March 16, 2015 Broiler heating element went out I ordered a broiler element, watched the video and replaced the element when it arrived. I turned off the electrical breaker to the stove/oven. I then removed the oven door from the hinges and removed the 1/4" square head screws that secured the element in place,( the video showed phillip head screws ), removed the element wires from the old element. Replaced the element wires to the new element and reattached the element to the oven with the hex head screws. I then put the oven door back on the hinges and I then turned on the electrical breaker for the stove/oven and turn the oven to broil. The element worked. I then turned off the oven and set the clock. This entire process took me approximately 20 minutes to complete. David S Grafton , WI August 16, 2016 Appliance: Model GE RB526V4 Our stove element burnt out and actually started a small fire while broiling some chicken breasts The 1st thing I did was look up the model # of our Hot Point stove then Googled it and found ApplianceParts Pros.com.I typed in our # and it brought up our model with an easy to read drawing which listed our exact broiler part.I also downloaded a few YouTube videos that explained a # of different manufacturers models and how to replace their broiler coils. What I found most interesting was how to remove my oven door which really made removing and replacement of the part a snap.I also greatly appreciated after ordering one day, getting my part on my porch the VERY NEXT DAY. It fit like a glove and we were back to using our stove and could not be happier. The price was reasonable and getting the part quickly in my opinion made this an Ideal DIY project. Sheila O Greer , SC November 13, 2016 Had to replace broil element I had to replace my broil element. I watched a YouTube video on how to do it. The hardest part was getting the screws off the support bracket on top and the one on the old element. They were difficult to get to and I was not able to use a screwdriver. I had to use an adjustable wrench. Once the screws were out, it was a breeze to install the new element. Read More...
