Anthony W Bedford , PA November 14, 2015 The right side slide support for the bottom drawer broke my wife puts some heavy stuff in there and it gave out Bought the drawer support, unscrewed the screw with a socket wrench, installed the new drawer support, wala! Took 1 minute. Moral to the story, don't overload that bottom drawer. Metal cookie sheets or the broiler pan is okay, but not big ceramic baking trays, they're too heavy for the nylon drawer supports. Jacob H Iowa City , IA December 12, 2017 Appliance: General Electric Gas Range JGBP28BEA1WH Oven would not heat. Checked stove and broiler function, both had gas, both worked. Glow bar style igniter, works on broiler, not on oven. Broiler igniter glows bright orange when on, oven igniter does not. You'll have to remove bottom drawer and floor of oven for access, four 1/4" hex screws. Turned off gas at fixture, checked for voltage at terminal with oven on, 120V present. 3.5 ohms resistance across safety valve, indicates bad glow bar igniter. Package shipped next day. Discard included bracket, this part has the exact mounting hardware. This includes replacement screws, which is great, use them to replace any rusty/rounded screws. Clip wires off old igniter, use the ceramic wire nuts to connect them. Probably 8 hex screws to remove/replace, just over an hour for the entire job. Read More...
