James O Moulton , TX July 26, 2014 Appliance: Model 278-4218590 Broiler element burnt out in my kenmore wall oven Cut off power ,inside I remove the two back screws, remove the two front screws with hangers. Pull element out, clip wires so they don't fall back in holes with clothes pins. worked good. But wire connection to the broiler was to large, had to replace connectors, wire fell in hole, had to pull wall oven out and remove back panel. I then mounted the new element to oven. Replaced connectors ,connected connectors, closed back panel, put oven in place ,connected power lines. Turned power on. Works good as new. When I pulled it from the wall, the connectors were exactly as described in the video, so I was prepared with the right tools (you only need a phillips screwdriver and because one connector was stuck, a pair of needle nose pliers). It was surprisingly easy. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
