Jeffrey E Plymouth , MN September 03, 2016 Appliance: Model PSA9120SF1SS Selector knob stopped functioning Replaced the "Encoder Board". My GE Advantium control panel came of fairly easily. There was 2 screws on top to remove a vent director giving access to a single screw that held the control panel in place. Once I removed that screw, I had to slide the control panel upwards by about 1/2" before it came off. At this point, I took several photographs of the wire connections to make sure I could reassemble them correctly... there were many! After unplugging the wire harnesses and connections, I had to separate 2 main control boards that were attached by a series of copper pins (probably 22 or so). Finally, under the 2 control boards I was able to access and replace the Encoder Board. After putting everything back together, it worked like new. Since this part only lasted 2 years, I'm guessing that I will have to replace it several times over the life of the appliance. Brian E Commerce City , CO October 27, 2020 Appliance: General Electric Microwave Hood Combo PSA9120SF1SS Dial function didn’t work on my GE advantium 120 convection/microwave Removed control panel from microwave, took pictures of the connections. Removed a circuit board(4 screws) and moved another one out of the way(2 screws). 3 screws held the Encoder board in and one small electrical harness. Take your time and it won’t be a problem.
