Linda S Rockwall , TX June 06, 2014 Appliance: General Electric Free Standing Microwave JVM1851BF001 Door handle to microwave was cracked Ordered new handle from website which was very easy. Clicked on the video showing how to open the panel to access the screws that secure the handle. Opened panel with a kitchen knife and proceeded to unscrew the handle. That was the most difficult part; however, we got it. Replaced the old handle with the new and that was it--simply pushed the panel back into place. More simple than we thought it would be. We would've never figured out how to access the screws holding the handle had we not clicked on the video. I'm sure we saved a ton of money by doing it ourselves. Carefully pry off the inner plastic fascia with a putty knife. This will allow access to the first two screws. Then pry the front half of the door forward a bit to gain access to the two "hidden" screws.
