James C Fort Atkinson , WI August 25, 2026 Appliance: Model GE REFRIGERATOR MODEL: GFE28HMKMES Would not dispense water or ice refrigerator and freezer lights where intermittent door alarm was on ice maker did make ice Removing and flexing the door switch connections appeared to fix the issue. I tested the switches with a digital meter and the wires between the switches after removing the connectors from the switches. That all tested OK. After reassembling the connections the problems went away. No repeat of the issues as of 3 days. Before working on the door switchs, I replaced the main and door logic boards. Neither of those replacements fixed the issue. I will be sending those back to the respective suppliers. Read More...
