My 12 year-old cooktop was rusted through in a couple of key places, but the rest of my range was in terrific shape, so I decided to order a replacement cooktop. The perfect part arrived quickly. When I took a closer look at the few connecting parts I thought I was going to pirate off the old cooktop, I saw some were rusty, particularly the two Guide Slides and one screw. I needed to buy a set of star drivers, too, as a #10 was needed. I put a little WD40 on the parts I had to remove when I did the job, that helped.
