Robert F Port St Lucie , FL September 20, 2014 Broken spray arm I did not know how to remove the broken spray arm so when I muscled it out, the spray arm base broke. We ordered the replacement parts from appliance parts pros and received them within 2 days. I looked online to find out how to remove the spray arm base. I removed it be unscrewing the base, screwing the replacement base, and then snapping in the new spray arm. We tested the dishwasher and it worked just like it was new. Another new task learned and completed!! Read More... 16 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers

Ashley C Melrose , MA December 21, 2015 Dishwasher hadn't worked right since we moved in it was only halfway washing dishes/leaving coating of soap on dishes After troubleshooting, found that there was a huge crack in the center of the spray arm/a piece missing from it. You can find a video that shows you how to remove the spray arm on youtube, it is held in by a plastic latch. All you need is a flathead screwdriver, but be careful, a lot of people report snapping the latch off accidentally because it is tricky to find. The video was super helpful. Ordered this part and it snapped right in. Voila! Clean dishes! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmVk7mq89js Read More... 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
Ted W State College , PA May 05, 2014 Appliance: Hot Point Dishwasher HDA3600R00BB The spray arm has a retractable tower that rises when water is pumped through it one of the sections had broke I ordered a replacement Spray arm for it; I know from experience that there wouldn’t be much holding it together. I checked on APP web site for some help with it. They said there’s a clip holding the Spray arm to the base; however it’s located behind the base (out of site). I didn’t find the clip until after I broke the base/clip. So this required order a new base. I wish the tech support on here was a little clearer when they informed everyone of the location of the clip. I ordered a new base which threaded into the bottom of the dish washer, then snapped the Spray arm into the clip on the base. This whole job was very easy, had I known how/where the clip was located in the first place it would have been done it 5 minutes. APP was excellent in shipping the parts, I received both parts the day after I ordered them (standard shipping), and they have always been that fast shipping out what I’ve ordered.
