Ge WB56X22160 Electric Range Oven Door Window Pack Assembly OEM Part

The glass on my GE oven shattered when my wife was broiling food. I looked up the repair and found that this was a known issue with these ovens. I googled replacement glass and found that AppliancPartsPros.com had the full replacement glass unit. I was able to verify that the part I was ordering was compatible with my oven. On the website they showed the part and also a tutorial on replacing the glass unit. The repair seemed easy so I ordered the part. The part came quickly and was in great (new) condition. I had to remove the door by releasing the safety clips and then pulled the door out.(hardest part) Watch a video, it's easy but if you don't know how to do it it will be a pain. The next steps were simply removing crews and bolts. For my oven I needed a "star" shaped drill bit and a socket wrench with the correct socket size. It was easier than I thought and took about 30 minutes including carefully removing the screws and making sure the panels weren't bent or damaged as I laid them down. I would highly suggest placing the oven door on a table/island with a blanket or towel on it so you don't scratch the surface. Once all the screws were removed I took out the broken glass unit and replaced it with the new. I then put the panels back on and screwed them down. DO NOT over-tighten. Snug is fine. I then installed the door back into the oven and the clips reset so the door was secure. Really simple. Happy with the replacment glass unit but unhappy with GE for manufacturing faulty glass.

Easy removal and installation if you are slightly handy. Did the job in 30 min. Replacement part wa perfect.

I remove the door from the oven. Then replace the glass from the door and replace it with the new part.

The window pack arrived in less than 48 hours and was a perfect match. Installation was pretty simple and in about 30 minutes the oven was as good as new.

The oven door on this model oven was a touch different and the door handle fell off when I loosened some screws. So the whole process took a few minutes longer than otherwise. But all in all I'm a satisfied customer.
