I knew the door latch was suppose to lock for self clean and it wasn't, so I took the back off and after tracing out wires and the linkage to the door latch, determined that it was a faulty motor on the latch lock. I got on line and Appliance Parts Pros was the first place that I found the part. I was surprised that it wasn't real expensive, but I kept looking for a cheaper price only to come back to order it from APP. This rear latch assembly secures the dryer door so the appliance can latch and run properly. It replaces a worn or broken rear latch to restore reliable door closure and help the dryer start and stay closed during cycles. What it does:
