Black access panel installs on the lower front of your dishwasher, just below the door and above the toe kick. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing.
I carefully removed the insulation and metallic trim from the original part using a small knife. I wraped the insulation with Glad Press'n Seal plastic wrap and attached it to the inside of the new part with double sided tape. I attached the metallic trim to the new part with super glue and then attached the Access Panel to the lower front of the dish washer. It took about 30 minutes to do the job but it was not difficult. It's an easy fix. Just remove the two screws holding it in place. Then it will be easier to remove the supply line. Disconnect the quick-connect wires. Remove the rubber hose and clamp. Attach the rubber hose and clamp to new part, attach supply line, attach wires and then screw back into place with screws. Turn on the water and test for leaks. Read more
