Lg Hose Or Tube

• Leaking

Removed the old line and replaced with the new. This is the sixth time I've replaced the line. Yes you read that right, the sixth time. Lines fail about every 6-8 months so I can change one out now in about 10-15 minutes. Bought the refrigerator in Feb '09 and the line first failed in March 2012. Since then I've had failures in as little as 4 months to as much as 9 months. Frustrating to say the least, but I'm a whiz at changing out the line :-) Read more

I found a video, by another parts vendor, that showed in detail how to dismantle and repair the washer. I wouldn't have known how to even get to the problem without that repair video. Dismantling the washer was easy once I knew how, but would have been like a (litteral) Chinese puzzle without the video. ****** always make sure the unit is fully unplugged from the power before you do anything with the outside of the unit to work inside of the unit and while you are working inside the unit... Also make sure that you turn the hot and cold water intake valves off and make sure you don't pull too much on the two water intake hoses that lead to your washer because they can leak with too much pressure exerted on either end******* 1. Checked all hoses for clogs cleaned them out and problem still existed so it was time for a new pump and since I was in there I replaced the drain hoses as well. Pump and hoses were exact oem replacement parts project took 30 minutes and the wife was happy again!!! Read more

Ordered new tube part AJR56656503 for Lg LFX25978ST/01 watched a lot of videos but none showed how to remove the door tube end from its connection so I just cut and spliced the new tube to the old under the cover for the door hinge area after feeding it from the back of frig to that area. It was easy till I tried to remove the line end from ice maker area. Read more

Replaced the water supply valve and the drain dump valve. The drain hose had to be replaced also. Read more

I replaced the Tube to pump hose which was very easy. I just tilted the washer on it side and replaced the Hose. Read more

First, water and electricity don't mix, so make sure to unplug your refrigerator before beginning this repair - it shouldn't take more than an hour, so you shouldn't have to worry about spoilage. My water dispenser began making a hissing sound from the back of the fridge when you pressed the dispenser. Upon inspection, I discovered the 1/4" feed line into the filter housing assembly had cracked. I ordered the 1/4" feed and 5/16" return lines, figuring to replace the return line while I was back... REMOVED BACK PANEL, USED PLYERS TO REMOVE CLAMP, PULLED OLD HOSE OFF, REVERSED PROCEDURE TO INSTALL NEW HOSE. TOTAL TIME ABOUT 10 MINUTES. Read more

I discovered the drain hose was defective and leaking at the elbow. I ordered a new drain hose from appliance parts pros and fixed the problem in literally 15 minutes. The part was less than $25 and it saved me time and frustration having to deal with LG and a repair tech. Also, I saw that most of the parts were very cheap and I realized it didn't warrant me purchasing an extended warranty when I could buy the parts and fix problems myself for less. Read more
