Jack T Athens , GA December 21, 2014 Appliance: Model 795.75543600 Getting ff error evaporator fan would run just a short time after resetting pwr Removed the freezer drawers, ice maker, and panel that the fan motor is attached to. Changed out the fan motor reinstalled everything and plugged it in, and presto. I had ordered the control board just in case but didn't need it. The fan motor wasn't the easier part to replace but it was the cheaper of the two. Because the old motor would run for just a short time I assumed that it wasn't sending a signal back to the control board telling it that it was running. I was right!! Charles C Houston , TX June 04, 2020 Appliance: Model KENMORE MODEL OF LG Freezer worked but refrigerator was not cooling Replaced the evaporator fan after noting that the fan was not turning during compressor run. Had to first remove ice maker and then 2 screws in rear of freezer and disconnect wiring harness. Peeled and cut insulation and accessed removal screws. Little tricky to access screws holding the motor in place, but I used screwdriver between the fan blades and it worked. Barry Z Mesa , AZ February 15, 2015 Appliance: Kenmore Refrigerator 79579299901 No air movement in freezer or refridgerator compartments Replaced fan motor in freezer compartment. Remove ice maker, remove white cap in upper left corner and remove one phillips head screw which is behind it then remove the small panel. The rear of the freezer compartment is a pressure/snap fit with no other securement. Remove phillips head screws from rear of of this panel once you have it out of the compartment to remove the air duct on the front. Two more screws and the fan is free.
