...after our refrigerator stopped working one of these mornings, I googled the symptom and was steered to a page where I was able to determine the possible culprit. To verify it, I left my cel recording inside and saw that the light stayed on. I was then directed to ALLPARTSPRO.COM, and was able to chat with a Rep, and after a short explanation told me to replace just the "push switchs"; so ordered them, plus the "light lens" and "cover", which had all melted for continuous lighting spanning over a 2 yrs period, at least (bulbs were of 60w ea). While parts arrived, I put a toothpick inside each switch to keep them activated, and removed melted parts and sockets. Once parts arrived, installation was a bliss, and all went back to normal almost immediately. I also replaced the bulbs with 2 LED 25w bulbs. I'm always going back to ALLPARTSPRO.COM for future help and parts, thanks! ;-]#

Replaced defective switch.

Got the part from Appliance Parts Pros. Quickly fixed it.

So I read a number of the earlier posts regarding the required repairs and went forward with all those repairs. In short, I replaced the wiring harness, door switches, and bulbs. The problem still persisted so I went ahead and replaced the control board. That did the trick. So for my unit, LG LFX25960ST replacing all those components were required. All repairs were easy and the videos and posts are all helpful.

Replaced light assembly with new assembly,.also the bulbs are to high of wattage. Why do they put on 2 60 watt.bulbs? I replace them with 2, 25 watts. LEDs.works just fine. Plenty of light. All parts I ordered fit just fine. Thank you
