Lee H Hardy , VA October 12, 2025 Appliance: LG Washer WT5101HV/00 Lg waveforce agitator spins freely After watching a video on AppliancePartsPROs.co and inspecting my agitator, I came to realize that the splines of said agitator, which engage with the exposed shaft of the clutch/drive assembly, had, after 13 years of use, worn away. I ordered a new agitator (pulsator) from AppliancePartsPROs.com along with a new bearing washer. The parts were delivered by FedX within two days. I had already removed the original pulsator and plastic cap. I aligned the pulsator splines with the drive bearing shaft and once engaged, tightened the included screw with a 10mm socket wrench. I snapped the plastic cap back on and then tested for function. Installation took all of ten minutes. My wife was very happy. Read More... Lou D Santa Clarita , CA October 30, 2020 Appliance: Model LGWT5270CW My LG washer just over 4 years old stopped working correctly and the pulsator (agitator) seemed to be the problem After removing the pulsator (agitator) it was evident the spline was very worn. Also from looking at the diagram the washer below the pulsator (agitator) was missing since manufacture. I ordered a new washer, pulsator (agitator). The new pulsator appeared to have a steel spline unlike the original pulsator, a new cap because the old one had been removed so many times to tighten the screw down that it wouldn't stay tight any longer. I believe the problem was that the missing washer contributed to the pulsator (agitator) to wear out prematurely. Thanks to AppliancePartsPros' diagram, I was able to order the correct parts especially the washer. Also I asked for next day delivery and sure enough, the parts came the next day!!! I also asked LG for reimbursement for the parts and I am still waiting for their response. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Socket Set
