The Door Switch is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire wall ovens. It is a component located on the oven door that detects when the door is opened and closed. The door switch works alongside the control board to regulate oven operations based on door position.
Symptoms of a bad door switch can include:
- Oven failing to automatically go into bake or warm modes after door closure
- Interior lights not turning on when the door is opened
- Control buttons/display remaining constantly lit instead of dimming
- Oven not heating or functioning properly in different modes
Causes relate to normal wear over extended use as the door switch mechanism cycles with frequent door openings and closings. Moisture exposure or impacts could also degrade switch performance.
This OEM Frigidaire switch is compatible with Amana, Jenn-Air, KitchenAid, and some Electrolux wall oven models as well.

Frigidaire microwave oven lights and timer work but oven doesn't heat Reese F. • Essex Junction , VT • August 16, 2015
I diagnosed this problem via the web and the advice was spot on. The problem was a failure of the bottom door switch. I used a multimeter to verify that the switched never closed properly. It took me a minute to figure out how to remove the old switch (press a release tab under the switch while simultaneously rotating counter-clockwise). That was about the most difficult part of the repair.

This is a nut that is used in many microwave ovens. It is typically used to hold interior fan in place. A nut is a fastener that is used to hold two items together or keep one component secure against a surface. Use and time can cause the nut to become stripped, damaged, or broken. If the nut is broken, it will no longer hold the fan in the right location. The nut will need to be replaced. Before replacing this part, the microwave should be unplugged. Open the refrigerator door and remove the cover that goes over the fan. The nut can then be removed using a nut driver. Replace the other parts before using the appliance. This nut is used in microwave ovens manufactured by Crosley, Electrolux, Frigidaire, and Kenmore. It is sold as a single part. This is an authentic OEM replacement part is sourced directly from the manufacturer.

The latch on the microwave door of our combination oven/microwave was broken and the microwave would not power on Norman A. • Miami , FL • February 25, 2016
Since the latch didn't close properly, the sensor did not allow the microwave to come on; the light would not shut off, and we were unable to use the microwave. I removed an inner plastic cover on the microwave door to expose 6 screws. I removed the screws, and the door panel came loose, exposing the broken latch. I replaced it with this product and reversed my steps. The microwave works perfectly now. The replacement part was made of metal which is definitely stronger than the original plastic...
