Being a complete DIY I hate to call some unknown person into my home knowing that just to get them there will cost me more than I will spend for parts that I don't need. After all, they are trying to make a living and by selling me parts that I don't need will increase their profits.
I've dealt with APP before and was impressed by their site because I could find both mechanical and electrical drawings for almost everything I have.
I looked up my dryer, decided what was probably the problem,...

The felt on the filter came out particularly at the base level Maryann A. • Woodbridge , VA • January 29, 2015
Had to purchase a new filter as the felt does not feed back into the ridge in the filter. It seems to me that the felt should not pull out so easily. My dryer isn't even a year old so I think this is a design failure. But the new filter works great and hopefully we won't have this problem again. Thank you for your prompt service!

Clothes getting stuck in front of dryer then later on a grinding and loud noise when spinning Michael G. • Chicago , IL • August 23, 2020
I'm new to how a dryer works, so I just started taking it apart to see what exactly was causing it. The video examples on the APP website were all amazing. It gave me a good idea of what I was getting into and showed me the common repair issues. The dryer being 12 years old, I was on the fence about repairing or replacing. However, once I got a list of parts I might need and getting the confidence by watching the videos, I said "what have I got to lose."
The cause of the scraping and loud...

Frigidaire dryer error e66 then door open Nolan R. • Hoboken , NJ • February 06, 2017
My Electrolux Frigidaire Gas Dryer stopped working and I got an error code E66 that the thermal limiter blew from over heating. The E66 code stops displaying after the initial code and you will then get a door open message. I replaced the thermal limiter and the thermostat just to be sure which part at the problem. The job is hard because you have to take apart the entire dryer and remove the drum. Would be a tough project to complete on your own.

The Moisture Sensor is an OEM part for Frigidaire dryers. This essential component detects the moisture level in the dryer drum during a drying cycle. It plays a crucial role in determining the optimal drying time, preventing over-drying or under-drying of clothes.
A faulty moisture sensor can be caused by various factors. Over time, the sensor may become coated with lint or residue, affecting its accuracy. Additionally, electrical malfunctions or physical damage can lead to sensor failure.
Symptoms of a bad moisture sensor may include:
- Clothes that are still damp or excessively dry after a drying cycle.
- The dryer stops prematurely or runs for an extended period.
- Error codes related to moisture detection.
This OEM Frigidaire part can also be used on Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore.

- Clothes drying unevenly, still damp in spots
Causes can be normal wear over extreme heating and cooling cycles. Environmental contaminants may also impact sensor performance.

Gas dryer wasn't heating up Tim C. • Algona , WA • February 21, 2015
I looked on Appliance Parts Pros. com and read the problems that others had and replacing the ignitor made sense so I ordered one. It came by UPS within 3 days. I watched the video on how to replace it. Everything went easily, except the screw that held the ignitor in place was a philups head screwdriver and I couldn't get a screwdriver into the small space I had to work in so I went to Harbor Freight Tools and bought an inexpensive 90 degree rachet screwdriver for $2.99 and it worked great....

Once I did that I removed the back cover and removed the single screw on the bottom side of the air duct that held it in place connected to the heat tube.
I then reversed disassembly. I want to tell you this is a 2 person job. In order to assemble it you need to...
