This is a genuine replacement brake spring that is designed for use with select snowblower units. The brake spring is connected from the idler pulley to the frame assembly. This provides the tension for the brake on the snowblower, allowing the brake to function correctly. Over time, this spring can become worn and stretched and need replaced. There may also be impact damage or other situations where the spring could break. Regardless of the cause, a broken brake spring needs replaced immediately for safe operation of the machine. It is important to disconnect the power and wear gloves when performing repairs on snowblowers, and especially when working near the blades. Disconnect the old spring, hook the new spring through the proper holes, and then reconnect the power and start the machine to test the brake.This genuine OEM brake spring is manufactured to exact standards by Husqvarna. It can be used in select snowblowers and throwers from Husqvarna, Poulan, and Jonsered. This is sold as an individual piece and does not include any hardware or other parts. The brake spring repair will require a screwdriver, pliers, and adjustable wrench.
