At this point I cannot even get it to catch to screw on. Can I buy just the cover/filter fluff or must I replace the whole pump assembly ? I can hear the pump running and the water seems to rise up to the top of the drain at the back of the washer but that is all. I tried blowing back through the drain line and the water rises in the tub . what is going on?

On the bottom right of the front panel is the round port that removes for access to the drain. Its about 2.5 or 3" in diameter. I removed it to clean out the gunk. I must have cross threaded it while reinstalling it... I tightened it, it began to leak when I started the machine - the plastic flange used to tighten or loosen snapped off. Thanks.

1 Answer Hi Mary. On the lower part of the front panel there is an access panel to the rt. lower front panel. Remove this smaller access panel. Then you will see the drain pump cap in front of you. You will need a few towels or a shop vac ready to pick up water. You will unscrew the filter catcher and unclog the pump.
