Marcy for Model Number FEF352DSB

Got my replacement bake element ( asked before about oven fire) easy to install, but does not work. NOW I thought to try turning on the broiler and that does not work either. Probably should have checked that first. You may want to include that in general advice, I never thought of it. Is there anything you can think of now that would be an obvious thing to check? Could I be missing something? watched the video and it was simple, just not working.

Marcy, If neither one of the elements work and the temp sensor measures 1090 ohms of resistance at room temp then the control would be the issue. 5304511908. You can try to peel off the user interface and apply to the new board but not many have success with that. The user interface is part number 316419134

Marcy, the wires would need to be inspected for any bare spots that could be grounding out and the oven would need to be thoroughly cleaned. If there are no bare spots in the wires and the oven cavity is thoroughly cleaned, there should likely be no other cause for concern. It is likely that the element had a split already occurring and started arcing. This can cause food residue to ignite if there was any oils.
