Jeanette February 04, 2022 for Model Number PHS68EJSB0 My freezer ice dispenser auger won't stop turning when the door is shut. I read the forum which led me to a link to this part on this website to purchase the control board (FRIGIDAIRE Control Board Part #:AP3963433 (241708307)) and replaced it but that did not fix it. I'm not sure what to do next.
1 Answer Check to see if you have damaged wiring at the door hinge. Wires could be damaged and shorted. Also, the board that contains the relay for the auger is in the door it would be part number 241527601. Read More...
Tony October 26, 2021 for Model Number FFHB2740PS6A I changed the water/ice dispenser module and now the control that the module connects to will not light up. I don't know how to check the control to see if it needs replacing.
1 Answer Tony, it would be recommended that the user interface 5304527929 wire connections are inspected for anything being loose. If secured, the red wire and the black wire at connection J4 of the interface can be tested for 12 VDC. If there is voltage, the user interface control has failed and would need to be replaced. If there is not voltage, the wires at the hinge of the door would need to be inspected for any broken wires. Read More...
Cperone January 22, 2019 for Model Number PLHS237ZDB3 The ice/water dispenser and ice maker stopped working. Everything else seems to be running fine. How do I check the circuit boards to see which one needs to be replaced?
1 Answer Cperone, The only things that are really in common is not a voltage supply but a water supply. You can test for voltage at the water valve as you press the dispenser and see if you're getting 120vac. If the voltage is present and no water dispenses then you would need to replace the water valve as long as no water is frozen anywhere in the system.242252702 is the water valve. Read More...
Dave September 08, 2016 for Model Number PHSC39EGSS0 Have no water or ice being dispensed, no lights on control panel. ( ice maker works) I've read some advice pointing to the power board, or the control board, ribbon cable...... ( when I depress the freezer door switch the interior freezer light goes off). how do I test to see which part is bad ? as the power and control boards are too expensive to just change out. I assume there's a connection point somewhere on the power board where I can test with my multimeter if power is getting to the board........and if so...if that power is getting to the control board via the ribbon cable ? Thank you! Dave
1 Answer Hello Dave. You will test for power coming to the power board 241708102 and then for power coming out of the board. If there is power coming to it, and the dispenser is not working, you will need to replace the board on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Steve August 12, 2016 for Model Number FRS6L9EESS5 Had to replace the water dispense panel. In the process the ribbon wire became dislodged from the control panel. After I reassembled the ice dispenser assembly, I plugged the ribbon wire back in to the control panel. Now the ice maker auger runs continuously with crushed ice and the water light stays lit although the water dispenser will not work. Light stays on for Cube but pressing buttons has no effect. I did unplug the ribbon wire and try re-plugging the other way (not sure which is correct and which is backwards). Did this a couple times while power still plugged in - realized after reading a couple posts that this may damage control board. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.
1 Answer Steve, This issue does sound like the control board is damaged and would need to be replaced. Read More...
John M. May 15, 2016 for Model Number FRS6L9EFSSO The water runs constantly it even runs when the control board is unplugged. It still makes ice fine. When I plug the main board (power board) in it comes on and only stops when you open the door, this is with the control board un plugged. I have replaced the ribbon cable with no results. The micro switch has checked out ok. Is the control board bad? How do j check the power board, control board to see if either is the problem? you for any help that you can provide. John M.
1 Answer John, You need to check or replace the 242252702 Water Fill Valve, and water supply line to the refrigerator. If you open the freezer door, or disconnect the harness from the dispenser board, the power should be removed and the valve should turn off. If water continues to flow, it's usually a mechanical failure of the fill valve or a water pressure problem. Read More...
Dh January 13, 2016 for Model Number FRS6L9EFSS2 The water and Ice dispenser will gain and lose power very rapidly while trying to use the dispenser. Is this a power board or a switch board going out? What could be the reason for this?
1 Answer Hello DH. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the power board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Brandon September 06, 2015 for Model Number PLHS69EESS1 Our water dispenser was leaking water when in use. When we took off the dispenser cover we determined the hose was not sticking through the hole properly. However after reassembling it our ice dispenser now runs continuously unless the freezer door is ajar. I'm wondering if the control panel got wet and ruined as result of the water hose leaking on the inside. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Brandon, You either have low water to the water valve or the water valve 242252702 is failing. This is of course if power is not being supplied to the water valve at the time of the failure indicating a failed actuator switch 241685703. Read More...
Phantomfxr August 04, 2014 for Model Number PLHS69EGSS1 Frigidaire model PLHS69EGSS1 the dispenser stopped the water valve was leaking and the ribbon connector had a pin hole in it. The ice maker was working. Replaced valve and ribbon con. Now the ice maker has stopped, the extra ice light , the light button, the water light and water work. The extra ice light stays on, Is the 241708307 board bad (dispenser board)
1 Answer Phantomfxr, With the issues that you are having with the dispenser of your refrigerator, the most likely cause for the issue would be a faulty power control board. The part number is 241708102. Read More...
Mark D. June 01, 2014 for Model Number Electrulux FRS26DR7DS5 I have no water, ice or light at the door. I think it is a bad Dispenser Control Board. I was told that the Diode part number 5303918287 could be bad also and cause the new control board to fail soon. Could this be true?
1 Answer Hello Mark, The diode 5303918287 will prevent the icemaker water valve from being energized when the water dispense solenoid is energized. It will not cause or prevent damage to the control board 241708307. Read More...
