Chris, This issue sounds like the tub support may be broken and will want to check it. The part number for the support is the inner tub assembly 131618500.

Hello Mark. Make sure the pump is not clogged and not draining properly. If it is good, then you will need to replace the door lock assembly.

My wife recently put a pillow into the washer as the machine wash washing it was ok. As soon as it went into the spin mode it was out of balance and banging around and the machine stopped working. Went to open the door could not had to disconnect the power for door to open. I removed the pillow and tried to restart washer, and it would not work. The door lock light would come on and off right away. Door would not lock and washer would not work. Pull control knob on and off only get the door lite to flash and not lock door. I already replaced door lock assembly and striker. I need some help and guidance. thank you tony g.

Anthony, You will want to check the wire harness between the door lock and timer to make sure that there is not a issue with a damaged wire. Also check the reed switch on the dispenser drawer. A bad or faulty reed switch can cause the issue. If these check ok then it is possible that you received a damaged door lock assembly.

Ken, You will want to make sure that the drain hose is not pushed too far into the standpipe which could cause a siphoning effect. If this checks ok and the pressure hose is not pinched or kinked and that it is connected to the outer tub. Also make sure that there are no holes in the pressure hose. If this checks ok then access the tech sheet and do test number 2 on page 4 for the log valve to determine what issue could be.

Hello Arthur. It could be the motor board. However, check the wiring on the unit first. It sounds more like a door error or wiring issue.

Hello Bruce, You would want to check the wiring from the door lock to the control board to make sure that the connections are good and no corrosion. If this checks ok then you would want to run diagnostics on the unit. This would be found on the tech sheet inside of unit. This will also advise on any error codes that may be stored that would give a good idea of what failure has occured and what to check.

Davey J. for Model Number Kenmore/Electrolux FTF630AS0

Front load machine built in 2003 will fill and pump out but will not agitate or spin. Drum turns freely in both directions and will turn small amounts (1/10 turn) occasionally, and will even spin at lower speed randomly when in the final spin timer location. Circuits checked include door lock and speed control board voltages on specified plug pins seem ok. Motor resistances match specs. However, speed control board motor output resistances are not as specified, and drop from 10Meg to 150K when meter is held on the output contacts between the phases. Specifications say the resistance should be 3 Meg ohms +-10% or replace the speed control. But why does the motor run occasionally? Dave

Hello Davey, These units are notorious for the motor control board, (speed controller), 134149220 failures. Once in a great while, the motor will fail, but the motor speed controllers are normally the cause of failure. The measurements are generalized and given the variances in practical application, you have to take the readings with a grain of salt.

Hi Flstskeith. Remove the drum belt and see if the motor itself will normally run. If so then the drum assy. is the issue. Access the pressure switch. Unhook the hose and blow back ward into the tub. Did you remove any obstruction? If so you can use washer magic monthly to insure proper performance. Take a same size hose and blow into the pressure switch to reset the contacts. Start The washer and blow into the switch, does it start to agitate now? You can also bypass the switch if your careful. If so you will need pressure switch part # 134433701. Your timer may not be sending 120 vac to the wash circuit. Part # 131717100. Use the wiring diagram supplied inside the cabinet to help assist. Thank You.

Hi Bob. Is the tub free and motor free spinning separate of the belt? Is there anything stopping the drum? Can you run the motor without the belt? Are there any fault codes? There is a tech. sheet in the cabinet folded in a packet. Use this to put unit in a field service test. The motor specs are there to check the board, connections and the windings. Motor part # 131276200. Thank You.

Hello Zaid. You will need to check and see if the door lock assembly 131763256 is bad and will need to be replaced. If so, it will cause the problem you are having. The wax motor on the lock assembly, if bad, will cause a low spin speed. The door will still lock, but does not send the signal to the control board. Hope this helps.
