For Frigidaire Oven Temperature Sensor Probe (Part Number: OEM11908314)

Natalie for Model Number Frigidaire covection wall iven FEB386CEBH

Oven won't heat properly, meaning set at 350, but only reaches 200 after 30 min. No error codes. Broiler element heats up, but not bake element. Continuity has been tested on bake element and thermostat sensor and both are good. Visual inspection of bake element looks good. Bake element is also making good connection. Is this thermostat control problem, or control board problem? Frigidaire FEB386CEBH - 22 yrs old.

1 Answer

Natalie, This issue will most likely be the control board that is faulty but you would want to test to make sure that there is 240 Vac coming off the control board to the bake element.

Elvin, Test the oven sensor for a resistance reading of 1090 ohms at room temp and 1654 at 350. If the resistance reading is off by more than 10% then the sensor is faulty and if the resistance is good then the control board will be the issue.

Kirk, To test the oven sensor, if you remove the control panel on the unit and access the wires going to the oven sensor you will test for the resistance of 1080 ohms at room temperature. You can also turn the oven on and set to 350 and test to see if it is 1654 ohms. The control will be the best place to test at for the sensor.

Hello Steve, I'm sorry but we will need to ask you to post a new question including the Complete model number from your units' I.D. tag so we can pull the information on your exact configuration and recommend parts that can be guaranteed to work properly on your unit. There should be three more characters before the decimal at the beginning of the number you have already provided. It may appear in a different font but it is still necessary to pull the information needed for proper diagnosis. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
