Roy for Model Number HVM1540DN1WW

HI - Last night the fan started out-of-the-blue. When I push the fan button I now get 'high' and 'low' but no 'off'. This has never happened before. I tried disconnecting from power at the breaker but no change. I then disconnected from power and left it for 1/2 hr or so and now the fan is off and the button works as expected. The microwave is located above the range.Could it be the control panel or some kind of overheat? thanks ahead of time!

Carleen, it is common for a control pad to not operate when liquid is used to clean them. If you let the unit dry while unplugged with a fan on it, the touch pad should operate once it has dried completely. If it does not operate once dried completely, then the touch pad has been damaged and the control assembly [WB56X10817] would need to be replaced.
