Roy September 10, 2020 for Model Number HVM1540DN1WW HI - Last night the fan started out-of-the-blue. When I push the fan button I now get 'high' and 'low' but no 'off'. This has never happened before. I tried disconnecting from power at the breaker but no change. I then disconnected from power and left it for 1/2 hr or so and now the fan is off and the button works as expected. The microwave is located above the range.Could it be the control panel or some kind of overheat? thanks ahead of time!
1 Answer Roy, Based on the information provided the smartboard is a likely cause and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Carleen April 22, 2019 for Model Number Model HVM1540DN1WW control panel , I scrubbed my control panel because they were dirty and after that the buttons do not work I have to keep rubbing the minute spot and it will finally come on , light, fan works some times if I get the popcorn button to work first then the minute buttons works somewhat better. Do I need to change control panel all together? thanks carleen
1 Answer Carleen, it is common for a control pad to not operate when liquid is used to clean them. If you let the unit dry while unplugged with a fan on it, the touch pad should operate once it has dried completely. If it does not operate once dried completely, then the touch pad has been damaged and the control assembly [WB56X10817] would need to be replaced. Read More...
Richard July 13, 2016 for Model Number HVM1540DM1BB The unit lights up and heats, etc, but the controls do not respond properly. If I unplug the unit and re-plug it, then I can hit "express" and it will indeed run and heat for one minute. But then no other buttons respond (not off, not timer, etc etc) unless I unplug, re-plug and go through this again. Would this be a control panel issue, a keypad issue, or something else? I think I replaced the control panel a few years ago. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Richard, This sounds like a connection issue or a failed control panel WB07X11013. Read More...

Josh January 09, 2014 for Model Number HVM1540DN1WW Not really a question, sorry, but I couldn't find a "feedback" section. I ordered the control panel (GE P/N#: WB56X10817). Received it within 2 business days. It was the correct part, and came well-packed in factory packaging. It fixed my problem (keys and display slowly stopped functioning). Had a great experience and would definitely use this company again if necessary.

David C June 22, 2012 for Model Number HVM1540DN1WW When I plug my unit in,the display tells me to set the clock. At this point the touch pad is inoperative.I changed the Control panel(PCB). Nothing changed. I tried to dperform the continuity check on the key pad but could not get any continuity anywhere. is there anything I should try before ordering the $130.00 key panel?
