Bill June 30, 2022 for Model Number PSB48YGXASV Your answer to my earlier question is confusing. Wr55x22685 is the original control board you list for psb48ygxasv but you say is out of stock. Then you say that Wr55x22607 is the correct control board for the psb48ygxasv but it doesn’t replace wr55x22685. I just want to replace this part in fridge and want to make sure I order the right one. Can you clarify?
1 Answer Bill, The correct main control board for your unit will be part number WR55X22607. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Bill, WR55X22607, WR55X22607, does replace the control originally listed for the model provided PSB48YGXASV which was WR55X10428, but it does not replace WR55X22685, WR55X22685. Read More...
Dan May 28, 2022 for Model Number PSB42YSXASS Thanks for the answer previously! It looks as though I can replace the main control board myself by accessing through the back of the fridge. Is that how to access it for replacement?
1 Answer Dan, the control board would be located at the top of the fridge in the compressor compartment (front access). Read More...
Dan May 26, 2022 for Model Number Ge Model PSB42YSXASS My GE Profile refrigerator side stays consistently right where I set it (39 degrees), but the freezer is set at -6 degrees and varies daily from around +5 degrees at best and sometimes up to +20 degrees. It's been like this for over a year. The repair man came out today and checked it all out saying, "There is definitely not a sealed system issue and the fans are all working properly. My best guess is that it is a bad main control board or a bad temperature sensor. But... It is probably not a temperature sensor because the display says it is +5 degrees and it is actually +4 degrees as tested." Would you agree with that assessment?
1 Answer Hello Dan, based on the checks done, yes it could be a problem in the main control board part WR55X22607. Read More...
Joe October 03, 2019 for Model Number PSB48YSXASS Freezer temperature showed 22F and Refrigerator temperature showed 32F, I try reset the unit and lower temperature freezer to -4F but it still doesnt work.
1 Answer Joe, the temperature displayed would be the temperature sensed within the freezer section itself. As such, the evaporator fan WR60X10176 will need to be inspected for proper operation as well as the frost pattern on the evaporator. The frost pattern of the evaporator should be a light coat on all of the coils. If not, then the condenser coils will need to be inspected for excessive dust that could prevent airflow through the coils, causing the freon to not cool properly. If there is not a full frost pattern, and the condenser coils are clear, then there may be a sealed system issue. Read More...
Jason August 28, 2019 for Model Number PSB42YSXASS The temperature is suddently not stable, specailly the freezer, it went up to 29F, i turn off and turn it back on the whole unit, the temperature got better, but moving by itself between 5 - 10F without touch or open the door, even I have set up the temperature at -6F. any one can help ?
1 Answer Jason, It is possible that the freezer thermistor is out of range and not reading correct temps. Check CN30 pins 2 and 3 brown and grey wires for the resistance of 29k at 0 degrees, 20k at 11 degrees and 25.5k at 5 degrees. Anything out of this range then the freezer thermistor needs replaced. Don't forget or overlook obvious things like was compressor running and all fans. Icing inside the freezer compartment is a sign of a door seal leak and the icing on the back wall is a sign of a defrost issue. Read More...

Mike January 30, 2017 for Model Number PSB42YSXASS I have a G.E. Profile refrigerator that I am trying to troubleshoot for no cooling. I have narrowed it down to the compressor or PCB board, the compressor ohm's out fine is there any way to check the output of the PCB board which contains the drive as this is a variable speed compressor. The board is a WR55X10428
1 Answer Hello Mike. You test for power to the compressor. If it is there, then the compressor is bad. No power would indicate a bad board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Kim December 29, 2014 for Model Number PSB42YSXASS Our refrigerator started locking/unlocking and we not able to rest. The light remains on the ice maker and cannot switch modes or display temp controls. The refrigerator and freezer are not getting warm.
1 Answer Kim, This issue sounds like it would be caused by a stuck key on the dispenser assembly and would need to have part number WR55X22608 replaced which is the dispenser control board. Read More...
