The front door of a dishwasher is operated in part by the use of door springs. There are typically two door springs on most models. The door spring helps the user open and shut the door efficiently. If the door springs are worn out or broken, a replacement part is required.A visual inspection will determine if a door spring is missing, damaged, or worn out. If the dishwasher door no longer opens and closes smoothly, it's an indication that a repair is required. Replacing a dishwasher door spring is a straightforward process. Locate the existing springs and remove them. Line up the new door springs and hook the ends into place. Wear gloves for protection. Disconnect the dishwasher before starting the replacement. This door spring is an authentic OEM replacement part. It is sold individually. The component is made of durable, high-quality metal materials. The replacement door spring comes sourced directly from the manufacturer. The door spring is fitting for several different models of dishwashers. The part can be installed in General Electric, Hotpoint, and RCA devices.

Shannon for Model Number PDW9280J03SS

Two problems--One is the fuse was turned off and upon turning it back on we have no function of dishwasher and get a continuous beep and no lights. Looked at the inside and the keypad appears to look "burned up" for lack of better wording. Can you advise on exact panel to buy and if one with NO electrical knowledge can easily replace Two is while fixing this, we also need to replace the springs as our dishwasher slams to the ground when opened. Want to make sure I am buying the appropriate ones. Thanks for advice.

Shannon, The part number for the spring on your unit will be WD03X10022. The part number for the Keypad is WD34X11070 and to remove you will remove the inner door panel screws and then disconnect the ribbon harness then peel the old keypad off and stick the new one on.
