Shahid December 11, 2016 for Model Number WPRE6100G0WT (GE Washer) Washer runs it's cycle, The Spin cycle is not run fast enough; clothes stays very wet, water from clothes does not go away as it should. Water drips heavily from clothes after taken out from the machine. I just replaced the Drain Pump but no luck. What should I do next as DIY? Is it worth calling a repair company, or better to get a new one? Is it the Motor need change or the Belt? Please advise me for an easy repair; hopefully I can do it myself.
1 Answer Shahid, You will want to get the tech sheet from the control panel of the unit and then check the LED light on the motor to see what sequence the light flashes. This would then tell you what needs to be tested on the tech sheet. Read More...

Angie September 12, 2014 for Model Number wbsr314od Our machine is a GE top loader--one timer knob on right, temp and load selection on left...too many clothes in machine, machine drained but stopped spinning, didn't ever hear timer switch "gears" right before spin cycle...I can turn the timer ring by hand but the knob won't turn it any more...please help!!
1 Answer Hello Angie, This sounds like the timer has failed and caused the knob and/or skirt to strip. To correct the issue, all three will require replacement. Note that the knob is removed by slipping a thin strong item, (more like a screwdriver than a knife blade), behind the knob to hook on and pull out the spring clip shown on the illustration as item number 9. This will allow the knob, knob skirt, and spring to be removed for timer replacement and inspection of the knob and knob skirt teeth. Read More...
