Dhammika November 04, 2021 for Model Number GSD6600G02BB GE Triton XL Dishwasher emitting a continuous alarm and no panel lights working after a power outage. Turned off the circuit breaker and on back with no luck. Please help.
1 Answer Hello Dhammika, If the connections of the ribbon cable are good, the most likely cause of the issue is the control board WD21X10215. I'm sorry but this part has been discontinued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Adrian April 15, 2021 for Model Number PDW9280J00SS We had our power go out briefly. When it came on the dishwasher emitted a high-pitched continuous alarm. Is there some way of resetting/checking what is wrong? No buttons work. I’m afraid I may need a new control board, but don’t want to get that if it is the touchpad.
1 Answer Adrian, the touchpad assembly would not have a speaker attached to it, and the keypad assembly is less susceptible to v voltage fluctuations than the WD12X10353 Module Control Asm. (it also contains the piezo speaker and circuit). Presuming you removed power to the dishwasher for a few minutes(5 0r 10) reestablished the power and the issue remained, the control board would be the most likely issue. Thanks, Read More...
Dave May 17, 2020 for Model Number PDW9700J00II I'm trying to figure out if I need a touchpad or a control board, or both. Lately the machine has been running continuously for much longer than the cycle length, for 3-4 hours unless I open it and reset it by cutting the power. Only some functions work on the touchpad - such as I can set a delay, turn prewash and added heat on and off, etc, but I can't choose a different cycle.
Bw September 23, 2019 for Model Number GE: model # GDWF160V40SS Dishwasher panel: Normal wash always on unless Light wash is pressed, otherwise does not respond when pressed. Light Wash will go on when pressed and Normal wash will go off, Sani wash no responses (ever regardless of what is done/pressed), Auto no response. Start/Reset button works to turn unit on but not to reset, Delay hours no response, Heated Dry no response (just stays on even if held for 3 seconds), Added Heat and Steam buttons turn on and off when pressed. Seems like it is locked but isn't, I can change the settings to Light wash, Added heat, Steam. But I cannot Delay, or change it to Sani wash or Auto. I also cannot Reset it... So, what is going on?
Gary June 01, 2019 for Model Number GDT580SMF-2es Dishwasher failed to heat both water and drying about 6 months ago, heater element 16.5 ohms so replaced control module found overheat cut off tripped and reset, problem solved, failed again but did not feel the thermostat reset click, element still tests good. Is the thermostat normally closed or open? Specs don't say. It is currently closed so I opened the circuit and no change, I still have the old board as that was not the original problem.
1 Answer Gary, The thermostat on this unit should be a closed circuit until it reaches a certain temp then will open to shut the heater off. It would be recommended to check the wiring of the unit to make sure that there is no damaged or loose connection. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Eddie. You will need to check the door switch WD13X10031 and make sure they are good. If so, then the touch pad WD34X10915 may be bad if the start button is not working on the unit. Thank you. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Peter K February 09, 2018 for Model Number ZBD6880K10SS Had a power outage and next time the DW would not start up. No lights on pushbtton pad at top of door. Can force a cycle by activating dr switch and touching key pad then closing door but cycle is incomplete. Keypad works partially when dr switch closed no function when open. Is the controller fired or the keypad? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Peter. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the touch pad WD34X11074 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Thank you. Read More...
Chris December 21, 2017 for Model Number pdw9880j00ss The fill does not actually fill the tub enough to wash the upper rack items. I have good water pressure. It seems the fill has a fixed time and it is not dependent on the fill float. The control strip only can be turned on and 109 minutes is shown. It will go through the time but not enough water is supplied. None of the other control buttons work.
1 Answer Hello Chris, You should first check the water pressure to the unit to ensure there is enough water pressure to fill the unit during the time allowed by the control board for fill. If water pressure is low, it will not fill sufficiently during the fill time. If water pressure is sufficient, the water valve WD15X10014 would be the next suspect since if it does not open properly, it will restrict the volume of water. Read More...
Oscar Fuller November 13, 2017 for Model Number GE PDW9880NOOSS I have to start with no heat dry on normal multiple times before it will start to run. Once it starts, it runs about 6 minutes to when the detergent door opens. Then it stops and goes back to heat dry and normal. I take off the heat dry and try and restart. Do this several times and then it will run again until it get to the detergent drop. Might stop there again. After 2 or three of these short 6 minutes runs it gets past the detergent drop and completes the cycle. Heat dry appears not to work at all. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Oscar, The [AP3791472} Control Module is a good possibility, but you may want to check the WD34X11228 Keypad first. You may want to retrieve the "mini manual" located behind the toe-plate on the front base of the frame, and conduct the service test mode and operate all the dishwasher components. This will help pinpoint the problem, determine if the control does or doesn't perform properly and speed up the repair procedure. Read More...
Patrick July 29, 2017 for Model Number PDWT580V00SS My dishwasher control board has no power to it. I checked the 120V and there is power in the junction box. The control module did not burn up. Should I try ordering new control module and installing it?
1 Answer Patrick, If there is 120 vac getting to the control board but nothing lighting up then yes the control module would be the most likely cause for this and would need to replace it. Read More...
