For Lg Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly (Part Number: OEM15995985)

Joe, The issue isn't the ice maker or the fill tube. The problem , based on your post information is the fill valve AJU72992601, on the back of the refrigerator. The valve body isn't shutting completely and allowing the water to "drip" up the tube and into the ice maker until it freezes. De ice the fill tube and replace the fill valve and you should be fine.

Kelly for Model Number 795.71039.010

This Kenmore Elite refrigerator is five years old. It has been making a buzzing sound for about a month. I found the "cure" for this online. It said to unplug the the unit for a bit and then plug it back in. It did stop for three weeks but it started making the sound again. Now it only stops for about thirty minutes then begins again. It buzzes nonstop, 24/7. It seems to be coming from the compressor? (the black can) I have cleaned the dust and have no problems with cooling. But the buzz is driving me crazy!

Hello Kelly, If slightly bending the Freon lines to prevent harmonic vibrations does not help, you may need to replace the control board EBR64173902, or EBR65002706 since it could be a relay or power supply issue on one or both of these. If the sound is coming from the compressor, it may be necessary to alter its' installation to change its' leveling or even replace it.

Hello Rich. The manufacture Kenmore does not offer any instructions on replacing their parts. Remove the screws holding it to the door liner and see if there is a locking tab securing the icemaker. One removed/released, you will slide upwards and unplug the wires from the unit.
