Joe Grzelewski June 21, 2017 for Model Number LG LMX25988ST the ice maker will stop filling the tray due to ice build up on the end of the valve. I have the freezer set to - 1 and the fridge to 39. I have to take a hair dryer to the area of the valve or occasionally take the ice maker unit out to clear the end of the valve of ice.
1 Answer Joe, The issue isn't the ice maker or the fill tube. The problem , based on your post information is the fill valve AJU72992601, on the back of the refrigerator. The valve body isn't shutting completely and allowing the water to "drip" up the tube and into the ice maker until it freezes. De ice the fill tube and replace the fill valve and you should be fine. Kelly June 06, 2016 for Model Number 795.71039.010 This Kenmore Elite refrigerator is five years old. It has been making a buzzing sound for about a month. I found the "cure" for this online. It said to unplug the the unit for a bit and then plug it back in. It did stop for three weeks but it started making the sound again. Now it only stops for about thirty minutes then begins again. It buzzes nonstop, 24/7. It seems to be coming from the compressor? (the black can) I have cleaned the dust and have no problems with cooling. But the buzz is driving me crazy!
1 Answer Hello Kelly, If slightly bending the Freon lines to prevent harmonic vibrations does not help, you may need to replace the control board EBR64173902, or EBR65002706 since it could be a relay or power supply issue on one or both of these. If the sound is coming from the compressor, it may be necessary to alter its' installation to change its' leveling or even replace it. Read More...
