Steven February 08, 2024 for Model Number wf45k6500av/a2 I have a Samsung washer model: wf45k6500av/a2. I am getting error DC3 which points to the door lock switch being the issue. I replaced it with part DC64-00519D and it worked for about 5 wash cycles. Now I am getting error DC3 again. My question is, is there something that might cause the switch assembly to go bad? Like the computer panel causing a short? Any other parts I should also test/replace along with the switch assembly? Thanks in advance.
1 Answer Steven, The DC3 error code can be any of the following: 1. The Door lock switch terminal is connected incorrectly. 2. The Door lock switch terminal is broken. 3. This occurs intermittently because of an electric wire leakage. (shorted or broken) 4. A main PCB fault. Using a multimeter check the switch and the wiring. All it did when I started the wash cycle is a short buzz, then another, then another, then it stopped its cycle and showed a code of FL. I cannot get the door open. My kids P.E. clothes are in there. I need to get them out! APP is sending me another part which does me no good unless I can get the door open.
