Shaw988 November 23, 2019 for Model Number JDS9860BDS I am about to purchase a control panel and control board for my Jennair JDS9860BDS downdraft range. How do I remove the top of the range to remove the front panel? Must I pull the range out to access screws on the sides? Can these item be replaced without pulling the unit out of the cabinet cavity? Thank you,
Lovie November 03, 2015 for Model Number JDS9865BDP I am trying to determine if I need the control panel or board. Some of the buttons do not work. The clock/temp display no longer works and our down draft fan or convection fan will not work. We are still able to operate the oven. Thank you for your help.
1 Answer Hello Lovie. You will need to replace the control panel WP5760M373-60 and the control board WP8507P232-60 for the issues you are having in the unit. Read More...
Eric August 26, 2015 for Model Number JDS9860BDS None of the buttons such as "Bake" on the left side of the touch panel no longer work. The clock is fine, the number pad on the right is fine, as are the two timer "buttons" I suspect the touch panel or Control Panel is the issue. I have also noticed some of the insulation on the left side of the oven door is charred and am guessing maybe some heat escaped and somehow damaged the left side of the Control Panel. My wife insisted on a repair man coming over and he wrote that it needs a "display board" . I can find a control board, but no display board and I suspect he means the control panel. What do you think? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Eric. Based on the information you provided, the control panel WPW10206068 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. WP8507P232-60 is the display board, but with the button issue, it sounds more like the panel that is bad. Read More...
Karen August 17, 2015 for Model Number JDS9860BDS The clock on my Jenn Air range is losing time, about 2 minutes a week. I already replaced the control panel. Do I need to replace the board?
Olehowdy November 25, 2014 for Model Number BDS9860JDS First most of the lower buttons stopped working, then the clock light and display started to dim, now when I turn bake on it says pre heat at 350 and the broil kicks on but then switches to 100 and the bottom element never heats up. the inside circuit board looks ok but I don't know how to test it. Do I need the circuit boar or the touch pad control unit ap4369276 or both?
1 Answer Hello. You will need to order both the control board WP8507P232-60 and the control panel WPW10206068 on the unit. Read More...
Theda June 29, 2014 for Model Number JDS59860BDS Cooking between lo broil and convection when control panel malfunctioned. Clock is on and a few buttons make a noise when pushed. Is it the control panel or possibly snap switch?
1 Answer Theda, With the clock being operational but some of the keys not working then the issue with the unit is going to most likely be caused by a faulty control panel WPW10206068. Read More...
Steve December 17, 2013 for Model Number JDS9860BDS The touchpad on my Jenn Air stove no longer is working. From what I have read, heat from the oven has separated the touchpad connections so that none of the buttons will work when pressed, although the clock still is lit up but can't be changed to the correct time. I want to make sure before I order a new part if I only need a new touchpad assembly or is the problem in the control board and need that too. The touchpad was replaced once before but I can't remember if the control board was replaced at the same time as well.
1 Answer Hello Steve. All the information you provided does lead to a bad touch pad. You can unplug the ribbon cable and clean it and reseat it and see if some of the buttons start working. If so, replace the touch pad. Read More...
Heather November 04, 2013 for Model Number JDS9860BDs We have oven model number JDS9860BDS, Jenn Air. The touch screen control panel stopped working. When we push the buttons they no longer work to control the oven. Please advise part that will be needed to repair this. Thank You
1 Answer Heather, You are correct, you will need to test the keypad circuits or replace the control panel WPW10206068 . The keypad and control panel are available as a "single" component only. Read More...
Rob September 24, 2013 for Model Number JDS9860BDS My touch pad has slowly stopped working. First a couple of buttons stopped then everything but the clock and the timer stopped working. I think I need this control panel to correct the problem. If that is correct, I see the screws under the panel that need to be removed, but will I need to remove the two screws near each of the igniters to get the top off? These screws on my range are completely rusted. You really can't even make out the head. How should I go about removing these? I have pictures if that would be helpful. Thank you!
1 Answer Rob, The control panel would most likely be the cause of the unit keypad not working. You will want to check the ribbon harness to make sure that there is no corrosion and that it has a good connection. If there is corrosion you can use a electrical contact cleaner to clean the harness. If this checks ok then the control panel is the most likely cause and the main top would not need to be removed in order to change out the control panel. Read More...
Fixmyjennair#S November 03, 2012 for Model Number JDS9860BDS Several buttons on my control panel do not work (mainly the #s 1-6 and 0). There is no other problem with the stove, oven, fan, light, etc. I think the issue came up after an electrical storm when the power went out to the whole house. I'm considering replacing the control panel. Will this solve the problem? Does something else need to be fixed?
1 Answer Hello. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control panel WPW10206068 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
