Pat, it would be recommended that the cooling fan W11248652 is inspected for any obstructions that may reduce the cooling speed. If it is clear, the next step would be to test it for an incoming 120VAC from the main control W11261167 and testing to identify if it sends 5VDC back to the control. If it does receive the 120 from the control but does not send back 5VDC, the fan motor has failed.

Jim for Model Number 6898XVB

I was asked by a tenant to check the oven in the apartment they rent. I set the bake cycle to 350 and started the oven. It was 10-15 minutes to get this to heat up. When I then shut the oven off, I noticed the top element stayed glowing, as in hadn't shut off even thought the oven cycle was cancelled. Opened panel on oven and noticed plug ins for wires between relay board and clock board green with corrosion. Any of the other sensors on this oven cause slow heat up and continued upper element heating after bake cycle ended?

Jeff, You will want to test the oven sensor for resistance. The resistance should be 1090 ohms at room temperature of 77 degrees. Also test with the oven on and you would add 2 ohms of resistance for every 1 degree of temperature increase. If the sensor test ok then you will want to check the wiring between the sensor and control board. If the wiring checks ok then the control board would be the issue.
