Jon December 26, 2023 for Model Number Whirlpool LBR5432JQ1 My w/m overflowed yesterday, just once. Turned off the machine, siphoned off the drum to empty it. Have now run it several times, no problem. Your tech, Mike's, helpful explanation was that perhaps there was a small, temporary blockage in the water pressure tube. I'm now wondering whether that transient blockage may be from our home-brew liquid laundry detergent which sometimes has small gelatinous blobs in among the liquid. Now thinking a small blob may have worked its way into and out of the tubing, causing that temp malfunction. Make sense to you folks? LMK. (Can I also say appliancepartspros may be the best thing on-line, with your phone service running a close second. There are guys and gals everywhere who are domestic gods to their significant others because of you guys.)
1 Answer Jon, the gelatinous debris can cause temporary clogs in the pressure hose. Eliminating this by straining the mixture would be recommended. Read More...
Arthur May 16, 2023 for Model Number LTF2940ES3 Code E56 Comes up. Barrel spins and the motor hand spins. I have no ohms tool. Could it need a new motor without testing?
1 Answer Arthur, unfortunately, without testing the failure could be either the motor 137043000 or the motor control 134743500. The only way to verify which one it would be is to test the motor windings which should be between 4 to 6 Ohms. If the windings are within this range, the motor is good. Read More...

Michael December 29, 2022 for Model Number Samsung WA5451AB I have a Samsung High Efficiency top load washer. Our dark clothes come out with white streaks on them. I'm not sure, but I think it is due to white flakes in the washer after we're done. These flakes crumble into white residue when rubbed between fingers. I would say they're kind of chalky. Is there a way to combat this? Would Affresh help with this? Thank you!
1 Answer Michael, Try to do a clean cycle using affresh washer cleaner or using white vinegar. This would be the best option for this issue. Read More...

Kat October 28, 2021 for Model Number Mvwc4465hw2 My darks are full of lint...cleaning with washer cleaner didn't help...tore washer apart and found no lint filter
1 Answer Hello Kat, Two things cause lint and both occur in the washing machine. The first is excessive detergent. The detergent produces a chemical reaction that is geared toward attacking soil particles. The warmer the water, the stronger the chemical reaction up to 85°F, (hot wash). The problem begins with more detergent being put in than is needed as per the existing soil level in the fabric. This causes the chemical reaction to attack the fabric and the fabric then begins falling apart. The second thing that contributes to excessive lint formation is washing the fabric for too long. Most clothing is overwashed since most people believe washing too long will get the fabric cleaner. Washing for too long will not get the fabric cleaner, but will cause wear to the fabric, producing lint. So, in a nutshell, try using less detergent and washing on a shorter wash cycle. This should reduce the lint substantially and eliminate lint when the proper amount of detergent and wash time is adjusted properly (as long as older fabrics are not present which are falling apart anyway).
