Rob September 22, 2013 for Model Number YWED9400SU1 Knocked the clip out of position cleaning out the lint. I cannot figure out how this clip is suppose to be secured and held in place. I've tried everything, and it just flops around when lint screen is inserted or removed.
1 Answer Rob, There are 2 slits in the front part of the ducting that one side of the clip will go into and hook into place. The other end will just hang in there. You may have to disassembly the unit to put it back into place. You would feed it into the top slot with the flat end and then through the second slot and the hooked end will hook around the top slot opening. Read More...
Pam W. June 04, 2013 for Model Number wed9400sw Do I actually need the clip # 8066208 that goes under the lint screen?
Len May 28, 2013 for Model Number WED8300SW0 Each time someone has asked how to install this part, it's met with the same exact response. OBVIOUSLY that explanation is not helping anyone. I'm one of them. By looking at the parts diagram, it's obvious where the part is supposed to go, and how it's to be oriented. But once you take apart that particular assy., how to install this clip is NOT apparent. All I need is a picture of what its supposed to look like in it's installed proper position, and I would have been done an hour ago. If I insert the "curled" end (both ends can be considered curled) in the slit in the wall, where does the other side go. It just flops there freely? If so, it blocks the lint screen from going in all the way. Frustrated because this should be way easier than this, and this website offers NO help.
1 Answer Len, There are 2 slits in the exhaust duct at the front on the unit. When you put this part in you will slide the flat end through the upper slit and then through the second slit and slide it down until the hooked end hooks around the upper slit. Read More...

Mark October 16, 2012 for Model Number WGD9270x121 Part # 8066208 is a clip that was below the lint screen. I am having problems installing it as it dislodged when I forced the jammed lint screen out. I purchased a new screen and clip. How do I install this new clip? There is a slot to place the curled end in. Where does the other end rest?
1 Answer This clip part # WP8066208 has a curled end on one end. Use it to hold the clip while sliding it in from the back of the cabinet on the top of the dryer vent pipe. It is there to be placed in so the opposite end (flat end) is at the 12:00 position of the vent tube and the tension at the cabinet rear wall opening. It keeps it from a rattling vent tube noise. Thank You. Read More...
