Dan July 23, 2012 for Model Number gr448lxps Broiler works fine.Bake does not work.I am not getting 240v to the bake element terminals.I hear clicking like the thermostat is working but is just getting warm,On one leg of the bake element I am getting 120v.When I press on bake the broiler comes on too.Is that normal?
1 Answer Hello Dan. If you turn on the unit, and the control board is not sending power to the bake element on the unit, you will need to order and replace the control board 9757271. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Lance June 08, 2012 for Model Number whirpoolgr448lxps I purchased and installed a new board and when I plugged in the stove the board began flashing and clicking. There is no response from the touchpad and no apparent way to make the board settle down. I ordered the new board after a power surge that made the oven and all control lights inoperable and dark. The cooktop burrners have continued to work prpoerly.
1 Answer Hello Lance. Try and do a hard reset on the unit by turning the power off for about fifteen minutes then back on. Make sure all the wires are correct and the ribbon cable for the touch pad is seated properly. If so, and no response from the touch pad, I would replace the touch pad on the unit. It is possible for the power surge to get both parts on the unit, but most likely a bad connection of the ribbon cable from teh control panel WP9758473. Read More...
Marvin May 09, 2012 for Model Number GR448LXPQ2 The control panel settings are crazy! There is a beeping, then different codes are displayed...one is F2. The clock will come on with the correct time, but then "start?" comes up on the display, and the screen goes black. There are random beeps and sometimes nothing will set at all. We tried unplugging the range to see if it would reset. It did reset and worked a little over a week. It started the random beeping and random displays again last night.
1 Answer Hello Marvin. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the touch pad WP9757623 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. There is a button stuck on the unit. Read More...
Joel B March 24, 2012 for Model Number GR448LXPS The finish timer alert does not sound, nor does the finish baking or cooking alert when you are using time bake. All of the buttons make a beep sound when you press them and if you press a wrong button it beeps three times as it is suppose too. Could something have been turned off? or is there a known problem with this issue.
1 Answer Joel, Have you reset the reminder tones on the control ? or perhaps a voltage problem ? The information to reset the notification chimes would be in your User's Manual, and you should try that first. Otherwise, it would be in the ERC/Control 9757271 Thanks and Good Luck Read More...

Bobber December 24, 2011 for Model Number GR448LXPT0 Oven will not turn off when off button is pushed.
1 Answer Bobber, I would not start with a new ERC/Control, If anything, I would start at the membrane/control panel WP9758472. You didn't mention any error codes (F1,F2, F0,etc.) , but the keypad is more susceptible to failure than a ERC/ control board 9757271. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
