Bill November 07, 2020 for Model Number KUDS25SHWH1 I ordered part # W10757838 which appears to be identical to the broken part, except it is black instead of white. I swapped out the part and tested it and it solves the problem I had. However, the new part will not slip back into place when I try to remount it. The four plastic poles on the top of the panel that the screws will go into are about 1/8 - 1/4 in above the holes in the frame that they need to go into. Do a have a defective part or Is there a trick to getting them to aligned? Thanks!
1 Answer Bill, when installing the control panel W10757838, the front panel would need to be removed as it has tabs that would prevent the control panel from being able to sit down fully. The front panel would be installed after the user control has been set so that the tabs can slide up into the user control. Read More...
Chuck June 21, 2020 for Model Number KUDS25SHBS1 Control panel CANCEL light blinks then goes solid and runs the pump for a few minutes, the CHILD LOCK will blink sometimes. After the two minute reset cycle it will stop for a minute and do the same thing again. None of the other buttons functional. Is it the panel or the controller (no longer available).
1 Answer Chuck, You probably have a short in the membrane which is part of the console. You will need to replace the console assembly to fix this issue. W10757838 Read More...
Chuck June 20, 2020 for Model Number Kithchenaid KUDS25SHBS Dishwasher Cancel light blinks and then sometimes the Child Lock blinks. I have unplugged and tried to do a cold reset. No luck. The dishwasher pump will start and run, go off, start again, go off, start again, etc. If I press and hold the Cancel button it will stop for a bit then start again. I tried the diagnostic by pushing the Super Scrub and Energy Save Dry buttons in the sequencing described in the tech documents inside the machine. No change. I replaced the soap dispenser a few years ago and the new one didn't use the sensor wire for the rinse aid level, if that makes any difference.
1 Answer Chuck, The rinse aid wire not being connected would not cause this issue. This would most likely be caused by a keypad that has a stuck key and would need to replace the control panel. Read More...
Kayden December 26, 2016 for Model Number KUDS255HBS1 I have the problem of the child lock blinking all the time as well. Once in a while I it will go off. I was able to use the dishwasher for a short time...but now it has 2 inches of water in the bottom and I need to get it out! I am sure it is the control panel..based on all the other queries and answers. My question is if I purchase the replacement panel...does that have the motherboard in it and is it relatively easy to replace if you have some understanding of how things work? Would there be any instructions with it to install...or should I call an appliance expert?
1 Answer Kayden, The control panel does not come with the control board. To replace you would remove the inner door panel and the control board is part number WP8530929. Read More...
Carol September 06, 2016 for Model Number KUDS25SHBT1 Problem: Child lock blinking. After reading your Q&As we are not sure which part we need. We figured the circuit board needed replacing, but one of your answers raised questions. Is the control panel a whole different entity from the circuit board?
1 Answer Carol, Yes the control board WP8530929 and control panel W10757838 are two different components. First make sure you've turned the "child Lock" option off " To turn off the Child Lock Press and hold ENERGY SAVER DRY for 4 seconds. The light turns off." If the child lock option doesn't reset to off and the light doesn't go out, then replace the control panel/keypad assembly W10757838. The manufacturer has discontinued the biscuit colored control panel, the replacement panel will be black in color. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks Read More...

Mike G December 12, 2014 for Model Number KUDS25SHWH1 the unit will only function if you push Soak&Scrub button. The only other buttons that function are as follows: super scrub, sani rinse, start and cancel buttons. The unit runs through the entire wash ,rinse and dry cycles. Is it the front control panel? Or if there is a control board, where is it?
1 Answer Mike, If the lights for the other cycles are not lighting up then the issue will most likely be caused by a faulty control panel which is part number W10757838. Read More...
Dan July 16, 2014 for Model Number AP3044935 Part Number: AP3044935 MFG Part Number: 9744112 Made by: Whirlpool The unit works fine but the plastic handle no longer opens the door. When pulled back to open, nothing happens. When I removed panel the door can be opened and unit operates fine. Can the handle be replaced ? or Parts of handle? Thanks
1 Answer Dan, Yes the latch assembly can be repaired. First check and make sure the control panel isn't cracked or flexing. One or more of the following parts may be needed WP9743903 handle, WP3380655 Latch lever, WP9743573 spring. The latch link 9743572 is metal and shouldn't be needed, you won't really know what parts are needed until you remove the control panel and visually check the damaged parts. Read More...
Don May 28, 2014 for Model Number kuds25shbl1 Childlock light blinks. I have turned dishwasher off overnight and when I turned it on it still blinks. Also I have tried to reset the control panel by pushing and holding the "energy saver"" button. I figure it is the control panel. Could it be something else?
