John July 02, 2021 for Model Number JMC8130DDS Microwave shows the display, clock, can be set and will run and heat, but TT and cavity light do not work, and am suspecting the fan may not be working either. I know the lamp has power but not getting neutral. I suspect the RY1 relay on the power board is not being closed, but think it is controlled by the control board. I know the control board got some coffee spilled into it; suspect it is the problem.
1 Answer Hello John, Neutral is passed through the control board WP53001291 on this unit and considering the full fault description, it would be the logical suspect. Read More...
Dean December 22, 2019 for Model Number Jmc8130dds The microwave starts up on its own with no cook time selected, it just starts. I have always heard that a microwave will be damaged without anything inside and possibly cause a fire. What could cause this condition and are parts available?
1 Answer Hello Dean, the control board is faulty, part 53001240, however, it is no longer available as it has been discontinued by the manufacturer. Read More...

Greg August 25, 2019 for Model Number JMC8130DDS The power level setting don't seem to work as they have been typically. We normally cook oatmeal at 8 minutes/60% power and it worked perfectly for 10 years..last week, the same settings for the same preparation, leave the oatmeal like watery soup and needs additional time to cook. Everything else appears to work. Suggestions?...Greg
1 Answer Hello Greg, if the microwave is heating correctly when set to full power (100%) then the keypad/control panel is failing it is part 53001243 and is no longer available. Read More...
Darrell January 25, 2019 for Model Number JMW9530DAS Sometimes after we have heated food then close the microwave door, the unit comes on. We always wait for the microwave to stop before we open it. I've read that the door interlock switches are probably the cause, but if the unit does not have any "run time" left (heating cycle has finished), then the circuit should not have voltage so it shouldn't matter whether the switch was faulty. What do you think is the most likely cause of this?
1 Answer Hello Darrell, This will be the door switches causing this issue. You will need to order two WP56001036 and one 4392027. Read More...
Macgyver November 07, 2016 for Model Number JMC8127DDS After cooking something in the microwave I remove the food and close the door sometimes pressing the stop/clear button. Sometimes the microwave will turn on in some mode and start running shortly after cooking, would the problem be the main control board? I can't imagine the door lock switch causing a malfunction like this.
1 Answer Hello MacGyver. You will need to check the latches and switches. If all are good, and working properly, then the control panel has failed. The control panel 53001297 has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part. Read More...
Fred January 19, 2016 for Model Number JMC8127DDS I have a built-in Oven/Microwave combo wall unit. The board is off. No lights and when I push the ON/OFF button, it shows some programming numbers and the clock comes on for a few minutes and then goes off. How can I fix/replace this?
1 Answer Hello Fred, We need to know exactly what the display readout shows when the ON/OFF button is depressed. This will most likely be a fault code since the tech sheet doesn't mention anything about displaying any "programming numbers" at any time. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Louis August 16, 2015 for Model Number jmc8130ddw When you plug it in it the display comes up and goes to set up but none of the touch controls has any effect. Is this a common problem? Do you think the touch pad has the problem or would it be the control board?
1 Answer Hello Louis. Try cleaning the ribbon cable for the control panel. If the issue continues, then you will need to replace the control panel WPW10212890 on the unit. Read More...
Brent November 05, 2012 for Model Number JMC8130DDB Hello, My Jenn-air Microwave turns on by itself for random amounts of time. We are worried that it may happen for a long period of time and cause a fire. What part needs to be replaced to fix this problem? Thank you, Brent
1 Answer Hello Brent, One of the door switches are failing. Since the current that flows through one switch also flows through the other switches, I never replace just one, but all three. This prevents having to go back in in a short period of time to replace the others. The part numbers are WP56001036 and 4392027. The second part number is for the two switches that are the same. You will need to order just one of each since the second number includes the other two switches. Read More...
